The Handstand Kids Cookbook Company Launches Chinese Cookbook
Cookbook Series Helps Children Travel the World, One Recipe at a Time
New York, NY -- The Handstand Kids Cookbook Company is proud to announce the release of The Handstand Kids Chinese Cookbook kit, packaged in a takeout box with a pair of child-friendly chopsticks. Handstand Kids Cookbooks feature recipes from around the world and introduce children to new languages and cultures in a fun and delicious way.
The cookbooks allow kids to explore different tastes, cultures and languages, without leaving their home. The Chinese Cookbook offers recipes like: The Great Wall of Chicken Lettuce Wraps while learning about the Great Wall of China; Kung Pow! (Kung Pao Tofu), showing the characters doing karate; and Chow Mein Long Life Noodles. Emmy award winner and host of Simply Ming, Chef Ming Tsai, wrote the foreword to the cookbook.
Each of the five Handstand Kids characters, developed throughout the series, has diverse interests and backgrounds that allow them to relate to all children: Felix is a vegetarian; Izzy loves to cook for his diabetic sister; Ari uses her cooking skills to volunteer at kid's charities; Gabby is bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English; and Marvin is an aspiring chef.
"The goal of the Handstand Kids Cookbook series is to create a global community of children. The series not only introduces kids to recipes from around the word, but encourages them to use their new skills to get involved in their community," said Yvette Garfield, author and founder of the Handstand Kids Cookbook Company. "Each book exposes children to a different charity and shows them how they can use their new cooking abilities to help others.
